I'm getting this message in my system.log the past couple days.
Seems more frequent when the server is under load. This machine
is OS X Server 10.4.10, XServe Dual G4, and is running as an XSan
Metadata controller.
Nov 15 21:09:52 207-195-200-3 servermgrd: [42] ServerManager
_SMSocketRead(fd=12) timed out (count=-1,remaining=1)\n
If I let it continue long enough, eventually I can't connect to the
machine with Server Admin, and Xsan seems pretty unhappy about it
as well.
I've restarted servermgrd manually, and rebooted, but the message
keeps coming back. Any idea what causes it and how to get rid of it?
I've read some stuff about memory leaks in servermgrd but I
thought that was fixed in 10.4.6 -- could be wrong though.
Are you leaving Server Admin or Xsan Admin launched and running on
the server or some other machine?
