MacOSX Server 10.4.10 using Entropy's 5.2.4 PHP package, one IP address,
very basic config. For fun, I thought I would try out the webmail
function, so I used ServerAdmin to edit my single default site and checked
off the "Webmail" box, saved and restarted.

The solution here lies in deleting completely the references to php4 in /etc/httpd/httpd.conf, as if you have Webmail activated, it will re- activate these modules, even if you switched them off in Server Admin.

So edit /etc/httpd/httpd.conf and remove both lines :

LoadModule php4_module libexec/httpd/libphp4.so

AddModule mod_php4.c

Do this after backing up the original httpd.conf of course.

Launch Apache, and you should be up and running.
