Yes, you're right: I'm new to all this. I really apologize.

Anyway:
"sudo mysqld_safe" returns "sudo: mysqld_safe: command not found"

"sw_ver" returns

ProductName:    Mac OS X
ProductVersion: 10.4.10
BuildVersion:   8R218

You are not running Mac OS X Server.

Create a user with the name/password of dale/dale (all lower case)
Do you mean through System Preferences -> Account? or System Preferences -> .mac? or...?

System Preferences -> accounts

make a user with admin priviledges.
Name: dale
Password: dale

Select the user dale and check all of the boxes.
Where?...

System Preferences -> Sharing -> Applre Remote Desktop

Send me the public IP of the server.
http://41.0.223.97/
ssh email@hidden

You're server is behind a firewall or not turned on.

turn off the firewall if it is on.

If you are behind a router make sure it is in the DMZ, if you don't know how to do this then remove the router and configure the machine directly.

Thank you very very much indeed,
livio.
