So I have a G5 Xserve running Server 10.3.9 and I am considering upgrading

before I go live.

I happen to have a dual 2.3 GHz G5 sitting around doing nothing. So what
makes the most sense here? Should I...

A) Image the Xserve to the G5 and use the G5 as a server while I test on the
Xserve

B) Test on the G5 and try to image it to the Xserve when I am happy with the
setup

Or

C) ?????

The Xserve currently fileshares to Mac and Windows clients, handles the
email for about 15 accounts, and runs a couple of small Wordpress blogs

Be sure you read the Upgrading and Migrating Manual before attempting anything.

I have done A previously and it works just fine. You probably don't want to install and test on the G5 and then image to the Xserve. You won't get Xserve monitoring items installed if you do it this way.
