I've got three dual G5 Xserves that I would like to get into a
backup plan.
This may sound a little strange, but have you tried Time Machine ?
It's pretty good at what it does and it's free.
If you can tell us what you don't like about it, we can suggest other
system that avoid those flaws, but without something to base our
recommendations on, it's hard to give advice.
