Diskless NetBoot on 10.5.1 Server... Your Experiences?

Is anyone else having issues serving diskless NetBoot images on Mac OS X
10.5.1 Server?

I just moved over my 10.4.x and a recently created 10.5.x netboot images,
and, they refuse to boot in diskless mode, despite what's being configured
in the NetBoot service.

I use NetBoot for imaging and maintenance, and the local hard drive on the
netbooted clients refuses to be unmounted (by either terminal, disk utility,
or NetRestore), which is preventing me from using it for imaging (main
purpose).

I've gone over the 10.5 server documentation, and I'm not seeing anything
different that needs to be configured. This seems to be an issue with the
NetBoot server, since my older 10.4.x images are having the same problem as
the newer 10.5 images, and the 10.4.x images were working in diskless mode
without issue on 10.4.11 server (and built with the older version of SIU)

AFP, NFS, NetBoot are all enabled on the server. I've checked the logs, and
I don't see anything out of the ordinary. I've checked the
NBImageInfo.plist file to make sure that the diskless setting has been set
(it has). I've even taken a suggestion from the documentation, and gone in
and set the "NETBOOT_SHADOW=-NETWORK_ONLY" setting in the /etc/hostconfig
file of the system in the NetBoot.img file created by SIU.

I've been netbooting the clients in verbose mode, and the only thing I see
out of the ordinary, is, that during the boot process, I'm getting the
following error message:

"boot cache failed"

If there is a partitioned/formated hard drive present, the computer
continues to boot, but in regular NetBoot mode (not diskless). If no hard
disk is present, or just an unformatted partition, the computer shows a
"halt" command, and immediately shuts down.

I couldn't find anything on Google or the Apple Discussion Lists (or even a
tech article), so I'm not sure if I'm doing anything wrong, or just ahead of
the curve in testing diskless NetBoot.

I'm 99.99 % sure our network environment is not the issue, since I have a
10.4.11 server right next to the 10.5.1 server that is sending out diskless
images without issue (and the two servers are not conflicting with each
other- I shut down the old server while testing the new one)

So, should I be ready for a trip to bugreport.apple.com to file a report?
Any ideas, suggestions or similar experiences in your testing?

Thanks,
