Thanks for the semantics lesson, I consider the whole thing an error. Now do you have anything besides grammar lessons that might be of some actual use to me concerning this?

It's not an error, it's a informational message. There's a big difference.
In your case it MAY NOT have changed. Hence the word MAY. Never said it DID.
