I didn't mean to imply that wireless was necessarily better... Just that depending on what kind of load you put on your server it is at least an alternative... I'm running a 1.4 Ghz G4 with 1 gig of ram for my server and it's able to keep up just fine with what I need to do with it. But to clarify, wireless is slower then wired. Always has been always will be(?) but depending on what you are transferring over the wireless network, it could be an alternative. For me, the decision to make my work station wireless was the fact that I needed to add a computer to the work force that needed a network connection but didn't have wireless built in. Didn't have to run any additional wires to make it work. -- Jason Pruim Raoset Inc. Technology Manager MQC Specialist 3251 132nd ave Holland, MI, 49424 www.raoset.com |
