Mail delivery to secureserver.net

Dear Server List,

We are having a little problem delivering mail to clients whose mail is hosted at secureserver.net. In essence, it appears that their mail server is braindead; see pertinent SMTP conversation of a real delivery to their server snagged using tcpdump:

220 rblsmtpd.local
EHLO ns1.optimistserves.us
250 rblsmtpd.local
MAIL FROM:<email@hidden>
250 rblsmtpd.local
RCPT TO:<kevin@some-site-hosted-by-secureserver-munged-to-protect- the-innocent.net>
553 Bogus helo cmsweb. <http://unblock.secureserver.net/? ip=64.246.187.194>
RSET
250 rblsmtpd.local
QUIT
221 rblsmtpd.local

I've used their "unblock" form several times, and I get this canned response each time:

From: email@hidden

Your IP (64.246.187.194) has been blocked due to a bogus helo. Bogus helo indicates that a system provided a falsified IP or name when attempting to send mail to our users. This usually indicates a virus infection on the mail server and we cannot unblock the IP address while the helo reports incorrectly. The system administrator will need clean the system of viruses and worms, and properly configure and secure it before we will unblock.

Now, as far as I can tell, I'm sending a proper HELO with my server's FQDN, and their server is coming back with a nonsense error. According to RFC 821, the error code means:

553 Requested action not taken: mailbox name not allowed
            [E.g., mailbox syntax incorrect]

And yes, the recipient is a valid recipient, we can email him just fine from Gmail or from our ISP's mail server.

So, that's all to say... any wooly thinking here? Or am I right on in my diagnosis that it's their problem?

Thanks!!

- Fred.
