Internal DNS server looking for apple.com

On our internal network we run a backup system with an internal email server, and therefore, a DNS server on a G5 with OS X server. 

This is the only service that uses the DNS, otherwise, I maintain a hosts file.

The server also functions as a NTP server for our internal workstations and the machines that host our RAIDs. Most importantly, I do not have the time on the server set to automatically update to time.apple.com or ANY external site. The server is not connected to the internet. 

The ntp.conf file looks like this:

server:/etc root# more ntp.conf

fudge 127.127.1.1 refid LCL

Now to the issue, the DNS log reveals that the machine is constantly looking for www.apple.com and time.apple.com. Is there a way to resolve this?
