error deleting open directory user accounts from 10.5 server.

hi,

when i try to delete a user entry from workgroup manager running directly on 10.5 server i get the following message in the console.

10/31/07 8:03:42 PM Workgroup Manager[55502] Got unexpected error of type eDSAuthNoAuthServerFound (-14102) on line 1633 of /SourceCache/ WorkgroupManager/WorkgroupManager-319/PMMUGMainView.mm

the server is not a production server. it is a test server. forward and reverse dns entries for the server work as expected. it is set up as an open directory master. if i use inspector to view the user records with the value of ApplePasswordServer they all have the correct fully qualified name of the correct server as part of the record.

i can login remotely to the server using ssh, and afp using the credentials for one of the users i would like to delete. can someone point me in the right direction on where i can look for more information to troubleshoot.

thanks.
