Re: 10 client or unlimited needed for Open Directory server?

I am installing another 10.5 server to handle OD, so I don't have to run it on the same machine as AFP. Do both machines need to be unlimited clients, or can one be a 10 client install and still allow AFP service to unlimited clients?

The 10 client limit actually means this:

10 simultaneous connections to AFP or SMB or both.

That's the only place '10' comes into it. If you need 11 simultaneous connections to AFP on that server, then the 10 client version is no good for you. If the server isn't even going to have AFP or SMB enabled, the 10 client version is fine for you.
