have permissions for. They can create files and folders. But they can not
delete files or folders. They get a message " Cannot delete filename; access
denied;Make sure the disk is not full or write protected and that the file
in not currently in use "
We had the same symptom on some very big volumes (speaking in
terrabytes) and solved it with the following statement in /etc/smb.conf:
[global]
max disk size =102400
Now Samba reports to the clients 100GB of free disk space, that will fit
in most API calls.
