Re: SoftRAID 3.6.6 formated disk cannot boot Intel servers - only in my case???

Hi Matt, list

Indeed I have. And we _have_ cured the problem together.
I can also see that the Mark (from SoftRAID support) posted the findings for future references (that was what I was going to do now… ;-)

PS.: In the process we also observed another strange (but most likely unrelated) issue:

IDENTIFIER
  0:     Apple_partition_scheme                        *2.3 Ti
disk8
  1:        Apple_partition_map                         63.0 Ki
disk8s1
  2:             Apple_Driver43                         28.0 Ki
disk8s2
  3:             Apple_Driver43                         28.0 Ki
disk8s3
  4:           Apple_Driver_ATA                         28.0 Ki
disk8s4
  5:           Apple_Driver_ATA                         28.0 Ki
disk8s5

One of these days we will convince Apple to fix this bug in their
partition map creation with Disk utility. I am not sure the exact
reproducing steps, but it is not right for multiple copies of the driver
partition maps. ;-)

Have you contacted SoftRAID about the issue? AFAIK, the company is just a couple of guys who are extremely competent and helpful.
