Re: Help! 10.5.3 update nuked our calendars!

From: Sam Dearborn <email@hidden>

Have you tried replacing the whole collaboration folder
with one from a back up?

I have looked through there, and the files look normal. In fact, I re- loaded some crucial iCal info into a local calendar info from files in there.

Also, i dimly recall the developer site having a wiki import tool for
third party wiki servers. I would hope it also works for mac servers.

I don't think this will help me. I'm not using it with a wiki. I'm using it with distributed iCal clients.

I installed the 10.5.3 update, and all our group calendars have
disappeared! This is about a dozen calendars in three groups.

On the clients, the calendar group names show up, but none of the
calendars do.

The calendars "refresh" (little spinning thingy) but no data
shows. So I expect proper communication is happening with the
server.

ps shows numerous Python processes running /usr/share/caldavd/bin/
twistd.

/var/log/caldavd/error.log has numerous entries like:

 2008-06-15 00:27:49-0700 [-] [caldav-8009] [AMP,client]
PROPFIND /calendars/__uids__/C466B667-7237-4228-8959-4C33E1EBECAD/
inbox/ HTTP/1.1

and

 2008-06-15 00:27:46-0700 [-] [caldav-8010]
[OpenDirectoryService] Record disabled due to conflict:
<OpenDirectoryRecord[users@058167af-ace8-519a-ac3d-e166498db024(/
Search->/LDAPv3/127.0.0.1)] 1B3B8A16-2B14-4976-95E6-7AE1034BDD86
(root) 'System Administrator'>

/var/log/caldavd/access.log shows requests coming in from various
clients:

 209.205.78.98 - carol [15/Jun/2008:00:27:49 -0700] "PROPFIND /
calendars/__uids__/C466B667-7237-4228-8959-4C33E1EBECAD/inbox/
HTTP/1.1" 207 486 "-" "DAVKit/2.0 (10.5.3; wrbt) iCal
3.0.3" [98.0 ms]

The file:
 /Library/CalendarServer/Documents/calendars/groups/
ecoreality.advisors/calendar/.db.sqlite

(among other calendar directories) is there, although the update
date looks too old:
 -rw-r----- 1 _calendar _calendar 11264 23 Jan 20:51 .db.sqlite

Anyone have any idea what's going on? Should I go through the
pain of undoing the update?
