Hi All,
I've just got around to installing 10.5.2 on an Intel Mac Mini which I use as a test server while I don't have access to a larger test box such as an XServe.
I setup DNS and OD Master with no issues but as soon as I try to create a user in Workgroup Manager, I get the error below. This appears to be identical to the issue I saw with 10.4.8 and 10.4.9 and the fix I ended up using then was to promote to an OD Master and then re-apply the combo update for OSX Server which stopped the issue occurring. Trying to
re-apply the 10.5.2 combo update has no effect.
The other issue which I was also seeing the previous time, is that when I create a user and leave the default username of "untitled_1" I have no issues and the password server continues on its
merry way. As soon as I edit the user shortname and click save when creating a new user, the Password Server crashes and Workgroup Manager throws the error below.
Has anyone else seen a similar error or can suggest what parts of my config I can check?
I'm using a 172.16.x.x static IP address on the server with a domain name in the format domainname.internal
DNS has complete resolution for both forward and reverse lookups
