Sorry, but the vast majority of people do not share your opinion.
We have by far more Macs at our organization than we've ever had (over
15,000), and Mac OS X 10.5 is the smoothest of all upgrades we have
had since the initial release of Mac OS X 10.0.0.
I am running Mac OS X Server 10.5.x on a good number of production
servers, and this has been the most pleasant new Mac OS X Server OS
rollout that I've ever had.
I've been working with Macs since 1984, and I've been at two of the
largest Apple sites in the world for 17 years. Your complaints are not
specific, and not helpful, and any real bugs you might have run across
will NOT be fixed unless you have FILED DOCUMENTED AND REPRODUCIBLE
BUGS at http://bugreport.apple.com

Hello, this my opinion, it's a bit strongly worded, I apologize for
that, but free country and all that.
For you Apple guys, I hope you can forward this to engineering, QA,
steve jobs, whoever, let's fix 10.5!!!!!
90+ days in, still having lots hassles with leopard desktop and
server. I think it's the worst Mac OS since System 8, and it works
about as good as Gil's idea for Rhapsody beta 1. The open source
stuff is disappointing, php ships off, typical mods and libs are not
there, (GD, ImageMagick, plus the dynamic SO's) fink and macports
helps but I still prefer Ubuntu for web dev and deployment. The
security model is more aggravating than Vista, more warnings and
cert alerts than air raid sirens in a Lebanese discotheque, way more
than Vista, WTF!! Microsoft could have a field day mocking the Apple
ads and if this doesn't get fixed in 10.5.3, I KNOW A LOT OF
ADVERTISING EXECUTIVES AND YOUTUBE VIDEOS WILL BE ON THE WAY. Wiki
and CalDAV are totally lame. Server admin trims DNS zone files like
rose thorns on the florist's floor waiting to bite back. (What the
hell is this stupid example.com stuff?) AFP has dealbreaker bugs and
you know it, that is just shooting yourself but you've been doing
that for a while. Hello ExtremezIP! RADIUS got reinvented as some
sort of airport technology, dude that is wrong. 802.11x on the
client side is pretty much unusable. The GUI changes in both
completely suck, what happened to Print Center and Internet Connect,
they were not liabilities in the least. It's a bit speedier, dslocal
was a great add, congrats, but that's all. It stinks! Not well
thought out, definitely not tested, cause for serious concern.
Please fix, please advise, what can I do to help?
10.4.7 Universal was an awesome stable system, why can't you do the
same thing again, just better?
