I may not be able to help with the actual problem, but what would be
helpful, is the logs from the server pertaining to that message.
Unless it changed in 10.5 server the log file for the mail server
should be /var/log/mail.log What I would suggest is finding the
messageid of the message that got delayed and then doing: less /var/
log/mail.log | grep messageID that will bring up all the related
entries for that message in that log.
That should get you started a little bit.
Anyone out there that see's an error in what I said, please feel free
to correct me! :)

I am having a bit of a situation here. There seems to be times that
an e-mail gets sent out from a Mail client or an Entourage client,
but is not delivered elsewhere till much later in the day (sometime
6 to 8 hours later). I have tracked the e-mail to the server, there
are no error logs, it just seems to not let it go until later on.
There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to which ones go out regular
and which ones are delayed.
I am sure there is more information needed, but I do not even know
what info to add.
Any help would be much appreciated.
