First you realize that mail is never guarentteed to get delivered. Nor is there any way to assure the timeliness of it's delivery as it passes through who knows what beyond your control .


That said, is there anything running viral scanning or spam scanning in the way? Do you realize that can take a while.

And what about transitory failures and deferrals in SMTP?

I am sure there is more information needed, but I do not even know what info to add.

Watch it on the mail queues. See where it's at.

Also note that knowing if this was inbound mail, mail your sending out and if so what its destination is are all very important, yet missing in your post, factors.
