I have been working for the last month or two on setting up Leopard to use AD and OD on my campus. I have a few test computers set up with OD and AD accounts and have just been working on getting the user experience we want (User Environment, Printers configed, etc.) but am having a hard time getting the MCX login scripts to run.
I have written a simple script that just echoes a line to local1.info (/var/log/ipfw.log) just to test and make sure it's working. I set it to always run in WGM, and have set the clients to accept MCX scripts with:
sudo defaults write com.apple.loginwindow EnableMCXLoginScripts -bool TRUE
sudo defaults write com.apple.loginwindow MCXScriptTrust -string Anonymous
I can even find the plist that contains the script (located at /Library/Managed Preferences/com.apple.mcxloginscripts.plist) but can't seem to get it to run consistently.
Part way through writing this email it just started working on one machine, but I can't find anything that I've changed and can't replicate the success.
Am I missing somehting?
Thanks
Ryan
