Appletalk has been going away since at least the Jaguar days if not earlier.

Our DAM vendor told us the other day Appletalk is going away, so FullPress will soon not offer it anymore. Some printers, according to them, will stop offering Appletalk as well. We've never had any issues with LPR. But then we have static IP and FQDN for all networked printers plus we print directly to the RIP (not through any queues).
