Re: AD user template



Hi Dave,

I usually create my template on a machine locally using a generic user like 'profile', then under the admin account, delete this user and archive the profile.  From there I copy the profile up to the server and place it in each user's home dir path (as specified through AD) and voila - a Mac Profile for when they log on.

A simple script can be written to copy into each user's home dir or if you prefer, you could investigate Login Hooks for the macs to pull a template profile.

No doubt there are other ways to do this too...
