(The issue is that launchd is trying to relaunch as needed; say in the
vent of a crash. If it thinks it keeps crashing, it'll simply stop
launching it altogether.)

In the previous post you showed that by wrapping the periodic call inside another script that also sleeps for a second you can make it work. However, I’d expect to have to make it sleep for at least 10 seconds, right? Also, why is this workaround needed only for Leopard server?
