Is there a kind of "LDAP First Aid"?

The LDAP database in our OS-X Server has been carried over via various processes (straight in-place upgrades, migrations, export/import operations) since our AppleShareIP days, and passing through every 10.x along the way. I've long thought we've accumulated some kind of cruft in it.

Is there anything, even on the command line, that acts as a kind of LDAP rebuilder and integrity checker? Surely with a database complex enough to hold all that user, group and computer account information and metadata, there must be some tool we can run to check that all is well.

Thanks in advance.
