I shouldn't have to tell people to remember their passwords. "Should" only
gets in the way of "what is". The GUI tools are not, nor ever have been 100%
replacement for knowing what's going on. That's part of being a sysadmin/

Actually, it's yours. The command line is, should you set aside your current
attitude towards it, an incredibly powerful tool that allows you to do
things you would be hard-put to do as easily with the GUI alone.

Of course, you have a support contract with Apple, right?
