... sometimes files that are saved on our share (10.4.11 Server) get locked for other users even so they are in the same group.
the share is owned by admin , the group has read/write access.
restoring access rights in the gui (dont kill me for not commandlining in this case) from workgroup manager solves the issue.
files are not open on other clients, mostly new files are the ones that causes the trouble, I couldnt find much about that in apple support sources.
installation is (no joke) only 2 days old, all updates etc ...I thought about chmodding across the whole volume but again : new files are affected that are created during
normal work hours from my users...

i have this issue on 2 different servers , both randomly scramble the ownership of some files

any ideas ?
I guess this is either a newbie - setup mistake OR a long ago discussed issue ...
