Second: pls don't top post
Agreed as noted: YMMV with TM, based on your backup up needs assessment and
subsequent policy and strategy.
My experience: For a couple of machines, TM to a mirrored pair fits the
requirements for their policy.
Single lost file restoration is the most common problem.
Hourly backup is often enough when combined with the autosave for the apps
used.
TM makes it relatively simple to get back a file.
The data is not of a type that TM has trouble with - (some things seem to be
problematic to back up - see TM notes on Apple).
The mirror provides sufficient redundancy and reliability for the worth of
this data and good ROI and TCO.
6 mo's in - no problems.
HTH
