Last week I asked if I would have a conflict with a public domain of www.domain.com on a third party host, and a local server of server.domain.com for local network use only.

Well it turns out I do have a conflict. When someone on the local network goes to www.domain.com they get the server not found error. Going to server. domain.com works just fine.

How do I point to www.domain.com for client computers?

In the network settings for your client computers you will find a setting that tells you which servers they find 'DNS' or 'Domain Name Service' from. This might be filled in with particular IP addresses, or the computer might be getting those IP addresses from a DHCP server. You need to find out which IP addresses they are, and talk to the people who run those computers. They might be run by someone inside your organisation, or by whoever supplies it internet connectivity (e.g. an ISP).
