For the NAS, we use a dual G5 Xserve with an Xserve RAID. For the SAN, we use a StorMagic iSCSI RAID 6 appliance.

All of it runs over Gigabit ethernet. We use both ethernet ports on the MacPros, with the second port on a separate subnet where the SAN and NAS live.
