RADIUS is RADIUS, so long as the RADIUS client can talk to the OSXS you should be fine.

Just realize that PPTP is weak and not robust, LT2P or IPSEC should be used instead if possible if you're interested in VPN.

You claim you "edited the clients file and it didn't work" but provided no details whatsoever that would be helpful to understand how and what you did for anyone to comment what might be wrong.
