Well, then I don't exactly know. Might want to try Mac Gzip just in case,
Expander corrupted or changed it. Performas seem to be REALLY sensitive to
this type of thing. Anyway, OS 9 seems to like the Mklinux booter better
than 8.1 or 8, if you can get that on your Performa. I have 8 (won't run 8.1
for some reason) and that hangs on "System booting" OS 9, albeit a very
minimal install, has worked for me and that's basically all I can think of
that'll help. Hope this helps.
