Hi,

I'm also having a Crescendo in my 8100.
One way to make your computer work a bit faster could be
to install the original cache of your 6100, if you have
de-installed it for using the Crescendo.
I know that the user-manual says one should not use
the old cache together with the Crescendo,
but I haven't had any problems with the original
backside cache installed on my motherboard until now.
This also makes starting MacOS faster.
