CD image install off hard disk

Hi

I want to know if I can install MKLinux from a hard disk instead of CD ie by
downloading an image of the CD off the internet. I'm attempting to get
MKlinux onto an 8100/100AV.

should I be downloading something like pub/cdimages/maindisk.img-old from
the ftp.mklinux.org site?

What should I change the lilo.conf : rootdev=/dev/hdc type thing to?
