Mark,
Apple (sadly) doesn't let people download full versions of MacOS off their websites. I think what you are thinking of is the system 7.5.5 upgrade.

If you bought the 6100 from Apple or from a store you might have gotten MacOS on cd with it. If not, then you will have to buy a copy of MacOS somewhere (like EBay.)
