Hi. I also have the performa 5210 machine
installed MkLinux + Nubus-pmac kernel.

What MacOS version do you use ?

At first, I had installed 7.5.5 .
But I have the same trouble, and so I upgrade version to 8.1 .

Now I can install MkLinux .

You would need to use Nubus-pmac kernel, too.
This can improve your machine task.
