Does anyone know if you must buy an SSL certificate to use profile manager and remote manage iPads? I generated internal ones but I still cannot enroll any iPads. It keeps telling me my certificate is invalid.

Also a friend of mine told me I must have a purchased real world SSL certificate even if everything is on an internal private network for this to work.

Without it I cannot manage, push things, remote wipe or lock iPads.

Is that true? Seems rather ridiculous to require an SSL internal. What is everyone else doing for profile management?
