Please avoid sending the same to multiples lists nothing worse then
spending time answering a question not knowing someone else on another
list had already done so. Also this list isn't for Cocoa framework
questions.

Anyway look at NSAttributedString, NSTextStorage, and -[NSTextView textStorage].
