Error -3264, No route to host

Hi all,
I'm trying to track down a problem occurring in some code on Mac OS X, but
not on Classic Mac OS.

Running our application on Mac OS X, in the code which does reverse DNS
lookups, I'm getting a -3264 error, which in MacErrors.h is listed as
kEHOSTUNREACHErr, with the comment "No route to host". The code works fine
on Classic Mac OS. The OT pdf document says "TCP/IP error. A host address
cannot be reached."

Anyone got any ideas as to where the problem may be? I've only just been
able to step through the code now so I don't know yet if it's some problem
with initialisation earlier in the application.
