ASP is probably locking up trying to determine the Ethernet address of the machine, but I can't be sure. It's very easy to deadlock the system when you write custom modules, especially those that come into play when a client application opens a TCP/IP or Ethernet endpoint. Can you get a MacsBug stack crawl of the place where its looping? Otherwise, set a breakpoint on the obvious OT routines (OTOpenEndpointPriv, OTAsyncOpenEndpointPriv) and see what's going on.

- Port Configurator - resident
- Port Configurator - real one
- PPPoE DLPI module

any idea on what could cause this deadlock ?
