Re: Serial Port Support

Is there any chance of support for serial ports being added back to
Carbon? This is essential for a lot of scientific and other applications
where it's necessary to communicate with data acquisition devices, etc.

It seems very odd that Apple targets OSX towards scientists, and then
removes support for a critical key area.

Boy, howdy. The whole issue of scientific applications is one it seems Apple didn't consider too closely (a small domain, to be sure, but one that gets Macs into otherwise closed environments).
