| Thank you! A bug report has been filed. # 7985009 Summary:
Recently (10.6.2) the ability to run Podcast Capture in Kiosk Mode was added, which removes the "Save Password" option from the Podcast Capture application. This can be done by adding a blank plist file to /Library/Preferences. Example:
touch Library/Preferences/com.apple.PodcastCapture.kiosk.plist
This cannot be pushed out as a managed preference because it will not add to Workgroup Manager. This is possibly because it doesn't actually contain any actual preference keys.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create the com.apple.PodcastCapture.kiosk.plist file with:
'touch Library/Preferences/com.apple.PodcastCapture.kiosk.plist'
2. Attempt to add newly created plist to a computer group via Workgroup Manager.
3. The file does not add to Workgroup Manager. Possibly because it contains no preference keys.
Expected Results:
Desire is to push Podcast Capture kiosk mode out to client machines with Workgroup Manager
Actual Results:
com.apple.PodcastCapture.kiosk.plist cannot be added to Workgroup Manager.
Regression:
Do not post admin requests to the list. They will be ignored.
