Printing Issue

Hi all,
We are runing OS 10.2.4 with IP printing, we have tried both Binary and
ASCII, here is the issue:

We cannot get printers to worn consistently with OS X. All the ink jet
printers work great. Our network laser printers do not. I think it is
the printers themselves. We have HP LaserJet 4000's, and HP Color
LaserJet 4500's. When printing from mainly adobe products (photoshop,
InDesign, Illustrator) it often prints out sheets and sheets of garbage.
Printing from word or IE usually works fine.

My question is this, what model of network laser printers are other
labs using? I have noticed that these are barely supported by OS X.
Are other people seeing this type of issue? I have tried using GIMP
print as well with the same results, I am fairly confident that its some
hardware issue with the printers themselves, something is not
compatible.

Any other ideas are very welcome!

thanks all,
Rob
