Print panels not shared among multiple applications? I see pretty much
the same one in every native app I print from. :-)

I'm not sure the reason for the second restriction, but I agree with you
on that one. I also believe asthetically that a pop-down would look funny.

From a (manic-) consistency point of view, its kinda funny that one kind
of button, the bevel button, supports a pop-up menu, but the other kind,
the push button, doesn't.
