Print Center not displaying Printer/Product name

Has anybody seen a problem where the Print Center does not display a printer
name in the data browser list when Adding a printer ? If I select my driver
from the popup menu, no printers show up in the browser list. This is a
random event - happens maybe 5% of the time. Most of the time it works just
fine. The interesting thing here is that I've had this problem with 2
different drivers - one written from scratch and one using Apple's Sample
USB print driver source. Both exhibit the same problem.

Anyone have any suggestions on why the name would randomly not show up in
the "Add" printer Print Center dialog ?
