Re: OsX 2.x as CUPS-Client

Ulli,

You can't do this on Jaguar, sorry. However we are going to try to get this working in our next major release.

Our Macs with OsX 2.x have to work as CUPS-Client (CUPS-Server adress in ;Client.conf+)
In the Unix-Shell it works fine, lpstat -p or lp -d... is possible after entering our user-account.
The app. ;PrintCenter+ couldn't see the printer-queues of the server, becouse its impossible
to transmit the user-account to the server. When I open the console.log and than the PrintCenter,
I can see, the PrintCenter trys to connect to the server, and I can see the order to enter my passwd,
but there is no loginwindow to enter my passwd.
It works fine, when the server has an anonymous-account, but we need the user-account.
There are about 8.000 users on the net and they all are not allowed to print to our server.
What can I do to transmit the user-account to the print-server?
