John's answer is correct. If you are building your PBM with an older version of the development tools, you may have to #define kPMPPDNameKey in your code. And yes, on 10.1 the Generic PPD is located in /System/Library/Printers/PMs/PSPM.plugin/Contents/Resources/xxx.lproj/.

I am writing a custom PBM in 10.1 for a PostScript Printer. I am able
to create the printer queue by providing the PPD URL against the "PPD"
key in the printer address dictionary but I could not find any #define
defining this key in any of the header files. Is this key available in
any of the header files ?
Also which is the "correct" Generic.ppd file to pick up in 10.1 as I
could not find the Generic.ppd file in PrintCore.framework as in 10.2.
Is the one in PSPM.plugin the correct Generic PPD file to use ?
