PPD printer installation/uninstallation

Hi Paul,

I'm building an installation package for our PPD based printer.

Some questions/remarks:

- a restart is needed when adding a PPD to /Library/Printers/PPDs.... Is
there a way to avoid this?

- now I need to do a restart for installing the printer and also a restart
when uninstalling the printer, is this going to change in upcoming releases
of OS X? Isn't it posssible to give a realtime representation of the
available PPDs?

- when having removed the PPD file using my uninstall package, the printer
is still available in the Print Center when adding a new printer. I get:
Error 1030.
This is because the specific PPD is not available anymore
It is not the most clean error message to the user. Can it be more
descriptive in an upcoming version?

- In the Installation Package I want to launch a command that will popup a
window where the user can choose to reboot the machine.
I tried "sudo reboot" but this is not the most clean solution, the machine
will just reboot without the need of any confirmation:)
Is it possible to popup the window from the Apple Menu > Restart...

Thanks for any info!
