Panther USB Queue Creation

Hi, all.

I have a problem that a queue isn't created automatically
when I connect my USB printer to Panther.
My printer is non-PostScript printer based on Tioga.
Normal operation through Printer Setup Utility create
my queue properly, but not with auto queue creation.

It seems that local Printer Module cache isn't used correctly
on auto queue creation.
My PM is registered in the local cache on installation.
(/Users/xxx/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.print.Cache.xxxxx.plist)
Connecting the printer, a printer information file is created
under /tmp/printers/connected.
It has some informations correctly, but lacks the path to the PM,
which proves the system fails to find my PM.

Auto queue creation works fine when registering the PM info manually
in the default PM cache.
(/System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Frameworks
/PrintCore.framework/Resources/com.apple.pmcache.xml)
It seems that the system uses the default cache properly,
but not the local one on auto queue creation.

What is strange to me is that auto queue creation works fine on Jaguar.
I wonder Jaguar uses the different mechanism from Panther.

Regards,
K.Mino
