The DDK requires the CUPS 1.1.19 API, but you can use the
"--enable-static" configure option to build a driver on a CUPS 1.1.19
or higher system to run on older CUPS releases (e.g. build the
driver on OSX 10.3 and run on 10.2)

We will also be providing a precompiled DDK for OSX and Linux for
a fee.
