Re: any way to prevent sharing?

It may be easier to make a unique URI for each host rather than trying to do this on a printer-by-printer basis. I don't know if this is even possible for you to specify this using CUPS.

Is there any way to prevent a particular printer from being shared?
I have a pseudo printer, which really produces its output on a file. When the printer is shared, and accessed from another computer, there seems to be no information passed in the arguments that tell the path back to the real user's machine, so it tries to write the file with the user's path on the machine which owns the shared printer.
So, I need a way to disable sharing for this "printer"
